The start of Audio Visual Creations began in June 1998 with the construction of Asia’s largest theatre, Phuket FantaSea. A team of specialists from around the world teamed up to install the control, lighting, sound and automation for this massive 3,000 seat extravaganza! Working with some of the largest construction companies in Thailand and a staff of over 2,000, we had to face the tremendous challenge of not only installing highly complex systems, but to teach the Thai technical staff how to operate and maintain them. The show contains sophisticated levels of integration with automation, lighting and sound control, water fx, explosions and giant stage lifts. The staff of AVC is proud to have played a key role in the design and installation of one of the largest theatres in the world. After it’s successful installation, part of the team decided to stay and apply their skills to the flourishing residential market here in Phuket. Like the brief for Phuket FantaSea, the systems for any home have to be cost effective, reliable, and easy to use by people who are not familiar with technology. And just like a show, it HAS to work everyday.
Wally Sudik (Technical Manager, Director) graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in Technical Theatre. Having spent most of his career working at America’s top companies designing and integrating automation, control and lighting systems for industrial applications; luxury housing seemed to be the logical next step after Phuket FantaSea. Sirisak Pansiri (IT & Networking, Integration) graduated from Ramkhamhaeng University, and went on to work for “Stereo” and “New Voice”, Thailand’s two leading publications on Audiophile quality AV equipment. Khun Sirisak then worked for Gulf Air as head of IT and Networking before becoming the Chief Technical Advisor at Phuket FantaSea. Robin Plant (Sales & Marketing, Director) graduated from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in the UK with a diploma in Technical Theatre & Stage Management. Robin spent ten years working in London’s West End before joining the BBC. He then went on to become Technical Stage Manager and Head Trainer to the Thai staff at Phuket FantaSea.
